Road Safety BC Driver's Medical Examinations

All drivers in British Columbia required to undergo a Driver’s Medical Examination must meet specific health and safety standards to maintain their driving privileges.

These examinations are mandated to ensure drivers are medically fit to operate a vehicle safely.

Dr. Wolf is authorized to conduct Road Safety BC Driver’s Medical Examinations for individuals who need medical clearance for licensing purposes.

The examination evaluates an individual’s physical and cognitive fitness to drive, ensuring they meet the necessary medical requirements.

Successful candidates will receive a report determining their eligibility to retain or obtain a driver’s license.

Dr. Wolf will assess your overall health, identifying any pre-existing medical conditions and establishing a medical baseline for continuous monitoring.

The evaluation process typically lasts about an hour and encompasses:

  • Completion of a personal medical questionnaire
  • Thorough examination of family history and risk factors
  • Physical examination including assessment of heart and lung function, blood pressure, heart rate, reflexes, etc.

Please note: Applicants’ medical histories are kept confidential and not disclosed to employers. Any discussions or sharing of medical information occur solely between medical professionals for the purpose of providing care, adhering to confidentiality obligations.

Potential additional tests might be required as per the employer’s requirements, some of these tests are available on/off site.

  • Name, address, and contact details of your family doctor, if applicable

  • List of any medication(s) you are currently taking
